Course & Practice Facility

Terravita's 18-hole championship golf course winds through the lush Sonoran Desert at the base of Black Mountain, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valley below. It's one of Scottsdale's most scenic and rewarding places to play.

The original course, opened in 1994, was co-designed by Hall of Fame golfer Billy Casper—known for 51 PGA Tour wins and three major championships—and noted architect Greg Nash, who specialized in courses that blend seamlessly with their natural surroundings.

In 2022, renowned golf course architect Phil Smith led a complete renovation of the course, bringing decades of design experience, including work with Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf. His redesign preserved the integrity of the original layout while enhancing strategic elements, playability, and visual appeal. The updated course reopened to members in November 2022 and has been praised by Golf Digest and Golf Course Architecture for its thoughtful balance of beauty and challenge.

With five sets of tees and nine possible combinations, Terravita offers an inclusive and adaptable layout suited for golfers of every skill level. It's a course that rewards smart play and invites return rounds, time and time again.

Members also enjoy premier practice facilities, including a two-sided range, short game areas, and expert instruction and club fitting through the TGIF (Terravita Golf Instruction & Fitness) program—designed to help you feel better, play better, and have more fun.

Terravita has served as a regional qualifying site for the U.S. Women's Open and is consistently ranked among Arizona's top private golf clubs—offering championship golf in a welcoming, community-focused setting.
