Head Golf Professional
Chad was born and raised in Show Low, AZ, a short 3 hour drive from Terravita. He enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, golfing and pretty much anything outdoors. His true love is watching his son play baseball and daughters in volleyball and gymnastics.
Chad was introduced to the game of golf at the age of 6 by his parents. In the beginning, golf took a distant second to baseball, but shortly thereafter, he started to play more and more golf and before you know it, baseball was a thing of the past.
His love for the game of golf turned into an obsession when he took his first job in the golf business at the age of 13. From that point on, if he wasn’t working at the golf course, he was playing from sun up to sun down. He played in weekly junior events all over the state of Arizona participating in the Arizona Junior Golf Association. While in High School, he made the All State Team each of the four years, winning the Divisional tournament all four years and state runners up three years.
After graduating high school and college, he decided he wanted to make a career in golf and enrolled in the Professional Golf Management Program. While completing the program, he was able to work at many different golf courses, from Private to Public to Resort, serving in all aspects of the business, from the bag room to Head Professional. Chad was able to build on his knowledge of the golf swing, working in different Golf Schools, clinics and coaching college golfers.
He learned a long time ago that there are no two golf swings the same and that everyone learns in their own special way. Whether you learn visually, audibly or kinesthetically, Chad has great communication skills and pays attention to each student’s learning style. He likes to keep the swing thoughts simple and focuses on the student feeling comfortable with their swing while sticking to sound fundamentals.
“I’m really excited for T.G.I.F. program! Being physically fit and feeling great allows the golfer to get the most out of their game.”
